Slot inlay
Preservation mounting including a slot inlay and a beveled edges passe-partout. Japanese paper hinges are glued on the artwork's back and inserted in the slots situated in the thick japanese paper on which the artwork lays. The whole thing is then mounted in a passe-partout. This technique gives the impression that the artwork floats in the passe-partout.
